Introduction

I've been blogging for over six years now, but in that time have never got around to setting up a blog just for my art work. I've been thinking about it for a while now and am happy to finally get started.

I was originally a 2-D artist, but during university I was lured into working in 3-D media. Which wasn't really me. So I never really got the chance to hone my drawing and painting skills. It's my one regret about university. So my 2-D art work since university has been hit and miss. I'm still something of an amateur. Along the way I'm learning what works and what doesn't. With practice and experimentation I hope to improve the quality of my outcomes.

I won't be posting all of my art work here. I do a lot of sketchbook work, but won't be posting all of it due to the sheer amount and the varying quality. I won't be posting any of my pre-university or university art work either.

My current art work focuses on myself, my relationship with my husband, my travels to America, married life in Britain, my family, the changes in my life, my hopes for the future and my changing views on life and the world. I also hope to start doing illustrations based on my favourite books, music, television and movies.

During the last two years I've moved house three times, got engaged, got married and moved between various part-time and full-time jobs. As well as the pains of applying for various visas. Which has meant that I haven't had as much time as I'd have liked to make art. One day I will be able to give as much time as my art deserves, but until then I'll be sporadically producing art and uploading it here.
